Born with a guitar strapped on, this Oklahoma/Texas born-and-bred Singer/Songwriter has left a big footprint in the hearts and minds of people all over the world with his emotional messages and unforgettable vocal style.
While running a recording studio in the late 70’s, Ballard mastered the energy of sound for a lot of artists whose work is finally coming of age. His own special brand of Classic Rock vibe has been stewing for quite some time and is captured with the release of his internationally and critically acclaimed COSMIC PIE disc. Hearing is believing, and this is the stuff Rock and Roll lovers dream of.
RJ dug his heels in as “The Ambassador of Good Will” at The Port of Portland – Portland International Airport – for a number of years, selling his albums to fans passing through the concourse to destinations all over the world. People from all walks of life have shared this find with others and never missed a chance to stop by and chat for a minute with RJ before catching the next flight to parts unknown.
In a previous life, RJ made his mark Nationally and Internationally as a Cartoonist/Humorous Illustrator – published in magazines as well as book illustration. These days he spends his time gigging between the Pacific NW and the Central South West, in hot demand as a solo performer, and a working duo/trio as well.
